This book about the Friendship Hospital in southern Bangladesh, built by Kashef Chowdhury and his Dhaka-based firm Urbana, documents a project that evolved from the geography and history of the local context. The two-column text on the cover reinforces the impression of a report. The individual chapters are interrupted by film stills coloured green. The different shades of green reflect the atmosphere in the Bangladesh delta. Hélène Binet's photo essay is extended in an unusual way to the cover at the end of the book.
