Saralisa Volm reads: Das ewige Ungenügend (The Eternal Inadequacy)
Visual identity
2024
In her book Das ewige Ungenügende (The Eternal Inadequacy), which has been highly praised by the press and is the subject of heated debate, Saralisa Volm tells the story of her ambivalent relationship with her own body. It is the starting point for a feminist examination of the topic. Who is to blame for our beauty dilemma? And above all: what can women do to counter it? The diversity of body shapes is represented on the event poster by abstract forms. The transparency of the shapes and the reduction to black and white are reminiscent of X-ray images. This raises the question of why we find ourselves in a constant state of scanning and evaluating our bodies. The event took place at the Neubad Lucerne network.
