Dieter and Dorothy –
Their Correspondence in Words and Works
Bilgerverlag
Editorial design
2001
The letters, faxes, telegrams, postcards and notes, reproduced with their creases, folds and stains, allow readers to experience the love story as if it were right there in front of them. The special edition consists of the book and a folding box with eight leporellos of Dorothy Iannone's work ‘An Icelandic Saga’. The project was created in collaboration with Dorothy Iannone and Björn Roth. Dorothy Iannone: ‘I do not think there could have been a more ideal graphic designer to help me make this book than Dieter's friend, Beat Keusch. His cooperative qualities are legion. I think of our collaboration as another gift from Dieter.’ Roger Anderegg, Sonntagszeitung: ‘This book, published three years after Dieter Roth's death, is the most extraordinary of all those about him – and the most beautiful too.’
